Criminal Justice Information System (CJIS) The Criminal Justice Information System (CJIS) is an integrated criminal case management system that has been in production since 1999. General Sessions, Criminal and State Traffic cases are processed through the system. CJIS has changed the way users access information. Information concerning a defendant and the case is related logically and easily obtainable for the users. Features:
Juvenile Information Management System (JIMS) The Juvenile Information Management System (JIMS) provides the court and clerk with calendaring, docketing and filing functionality. All related cases - including additional charges or co-defendants - are linked logically together. This greatly reduces the need for costly continuances by having all parties/cases together for a single court appearance. Features:
Adult Probation Case Management System (ADPB) The Probation Case Management System has been operational since January of 2001. Data from CJIS is used to initiate cases in the Probation systems, eliminating the need for duplicate data entry. Referrals from the Probation cases create new cases for the Features:
Public Defender Information System (PDIS) The Public Defender Case Management System has been operational since March of 2001. A client’s case is initiated by pulling the most current data over from CJIS, eliminating the need for duplicate data entry. Attorneys can enter their time on the system, as well as document case-related expenses and other contact regarding the case. Court dates, dispositions, and other court events maintained in CJIS can be viewed from the Public Defender system. Features:
Pretrial Case Management System (PTAL) Pretrial Services is a program under the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office. Individuals who qualify for Pretrial Services are allowed to be released from custody until final disposition of their court case. The Pretrial Case Management System has been operational since August of 2003. Data from CJIS is used to initiate cases in the Pretrial system, eliminating the need for duplicate data entry. Court dates, dispositions, and other court events maintained in CJIS can be viewed from the Pretrial system. The Pretrial Case Management System has eliminated some of the manual entry that was being performed by both the Criminal Court Clerk as well as the users of Pretrial. Information flows from CJIS into the Pretrial System, allowing the case managers to know what is currently happening with the case. Juvenile Case Management (JCM) The Juvenile Court Case Management System (JCM) rolled into production on October 4, 2004. This system provides case managers at Davidson County Juvenile Court, including community-based probation officers, with a robust, yet intuitive, new tool for monitoring juvenile cases. The case manager allows all Juvenile Case Managers to view and update records in the Juvenile Information Management System (JIMS). Features:
